Classic Elvis
Conductor: John Quirk
Classic Elvis is a new and unique Elvis show, with Michael Glaysher and Gordon Davis, performing an evening of classic Elvis songs.
Michael Glaysher, accompanied by a stripped back set with a two piece band (electric guitar and double bass), kicks off the evening performing songs from Elvis’ Sun Studio era such as Hound Dog and Blue Suede Shoes. The string section and conductor are then introduced for a set made of songs from Elvis’ movie career, including Rockahola and Love me Tender.
Gordon Davis, accompanied by the full Leicester Symphony Orchestra, will perform a full set based on Elvis’ Vegas shows with songs including Suspicious Minds and American Trilogy.
